I was hungry, I was yearning to be fed and fully satisfied by Him who is in Heaven. Yet, I did not know where to go to have this hunger satisfied. I have been at various churches and religious gatherings – walking away still starving.
Then, He invited me with this:
Ruth 2:14 NKJV
Now Boaz said to her at mealtime, “Come here, and eat of the bread, and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar.” So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed parched grain to her; and she ate and was satisfied, and kept some back.
“Come here, and eat of the bread”
I couldn’t help but wonder, what bread? Where do I find it?
I was pleading with Him, to show me where I should sit down? Which table?
Throughout He Scriptures we perceive Him to be a good Father, feeding His children when they are hungry. How great is His faithfulness in just that – feeding us.
As I was asking and pleading for Him to fully satisfy me as Ruth was satisfied, He showed me this:
John 6:32-35 NKJV
Then Yeshua said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
And Yeshua said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
Still I asked Lord, give me this bread always. And just like Peter I asked in
John 6:68 NKJV
“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
Not fully understanding how to obtain it, praying and coming before Him with my hunger, He revealed this to me:
John 1:14 NKJV
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Yeshua ha Mashiach is the Word, and the Word is the true bread from heaven which the Father has sent.
Being hungry, starving for this true bread from heaven, we need to come to realize that our hunger can only be satisfied by HIM, the true bread from heaven, the Word that became flesh – Yeshua the Messiah.
He not only feeds us, and fully satisfying only our own hunger, but always giving us more than that which we need. Our daily bread, time in the Word of Yahweh satisfies us with what we need and giving us an extra piece of bread to share with a Noami.
Ruth 2:14;18 NKJV
So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed parched grain to her; and she ate and was satisfied, and kept some back. So she brought out and gave to Noami what she had kept back after she had been satisfied.
Yeshua the Messiah is the true bread from heaven, the Word that became flesh.
When we eat of this bread, the Word, we will never hunger again.
Dear friend, “Come, and eat of the bread”. I pray that today you will be fully satisfied in the Word of Yahweh and receive an extra piece to share with a Noami.
